Born on the dying planet of Krypton, Kal-L was sent to Earth as a baby and discovered by farmers Martha and Jonathan Kent, who raised him as their son, Clark. Growing up, Clark developed enhanced senses and extraordinary powers, thanks to the radiation from Earth's yellow sun. Upon reaching adulthood, he used these powers to defend his new home as Superman. Following his demise in Infinite Crisis, the Superman of Earth-2 is resurrected by a Black Lantern Ring and proceeds to attack the Superman of Earth-1 and Superboy (Conner Kent) in Smallville.
