Known for his ability to shape shift, possess humans and animals, as well as a range of other powers, he was sent to earth to train Al Simmons when he became a Hellspawn. Despite his loyalty to Malebolgia, Violator often undermines Al Simmons by antagonizing and manipulating him, to the extent of causing conflict with Malebolgia and his brothers. Violator is self-serving, vindictive, and a constant obstacle for Spawn.
